EXCERPT: In a cogent answer to physicist Enrico Fermi's famous paradox --if intelligent life exists in the Milky Way, where are they? Life on other planets would likely be brief and become extinct very quickly, say astrobiologists from The Australian National University (ANU). In research aiming to understand how life might develop, the scientists realized new life would commonly die out due to runaway heating or cooling on their fledgling planets. A plausible solution to Fermi's paradox, say the ANU researchers, is near universal early extinction, which they have named the Gaian Bottleneck....

Quote:The universe is probably filled with habitable planets, so many scientists think it should be teeming with aliens. Early life is fragile, so we believe it rarely evolves quickly enough to survive. Most early planetary environments are unstable. To produce a habitable planet, life forms need to regulate greenhouse gases such as water and carbon dioxide to keep surface temperatures stable.

Doomsday Clock moved two minutes closer to midnight

Let us say for arguement purposes that an alien civilisation had developed space travel.
that alien civilisation would probably also develop long range observational ability.
Given the nature of the human species being on the verge of planetary distruction and species extinction for the last 60 years, prior to which time slavery of all women and most other weaker cultures was considered perfectly normal & acceptable...
do you (being completely honest with yourself)want to tell me that such a civilisation would want to show its self to humans ?

what do a vast majority of humans do to anyone who is different to their relgion skin colour political opinion sexual orientation or financial wealth currently ?(not very nice things thats what).

The only possible contact we would have, would be by a civilisation that normalised slavery and decided tocome to earth to use humans as slaves in the same moral position as humans currently treat themselves as a majority.

simple logic.
