Sure, there's a thin line between gospel R&B and it. But I'm starting to believe that she really was the first to invent "rock 'n' roll". One of the ancestors of it, anyway.

Always knew there must have been a German equivalent of either American Bandstand or Your Hit Parade. But still kind of weird to see/hear a glimpse of it. Dieter Thomas Heck was the Dick Clark (this was surely just before his retirement in 1984).
