High strangeness: Uniontown Pennsylvania, Oct 25, 1973.

Location. Near Uniontown Pennsylvania
Date: October 25 1973 Time: 2100

"Around 2100 about 15 people observed a very large red spherical
object hovering low in the sky, which began to descend towards a
pasture. The witness and two boys proceeded up the field and
observed a white dome shaped object on the ground that
illuminated the area, and was making a loud whirring sound. It
was estimated at about 100 ft in diameter. They were about 250 ft
from the object, and about 75 ft from a fence line. Walking along
the fence line were two tall figures, 7 to 9 ft tall, covered with hair,
and arms hanging down past the knees, and displaying glowing
green eyes. The creatures were fired upon, first tracers were shot
overhead, and then live ammo was used. The larger of the two
creatures turned towards the other almost touching it, and at the
same time the object in the field disappeared, and the sound
stopped.

The creatures slowly walked towards the woods. One boy
had already ran home, the other two left the field, went to the
farmhouse and moved the family members to a neighbor’s home,
and called the state police. When the trooper arrived he and the
main witness went to the site, and where the object had landed
there was a glowing area that according to the trooper was about
150 ft in diameter. He said he could read a newspaper from the
amount of light that it was emitting. The farm animals refused to
go into the area. One witness reported that before they left the
field, the larger of the two creatures was seen in the woods about
10 ft from them, and he shot at it and it struck the fence that stood
between them.

Later that night the investigation team, which
included the main witness Stephen, Stan Gordon, Dave Baker,
Dave Smith, George Lutz and Dennis Smeltzer, arrived in the
area. Radiation levels normal, glowing area now gone, but animals
still wouldn’t go near the spot. Strange events now began to take
place. A farmhouse several hundred feet from them was seen by
some in the party to suddenly light up like daylight for several
seconds. A bull in the field and a dog seemed unconcerned about
the group, and were looking into the woods. The main witness, a
rather large individual while being questioned, suddenly begins to
growl, throwing his father and investigator George Lutz towards
the ground. The man ran into the field growling like an animal
and emitting screams, one that was near inhuman. His own dog
approached him as to attack, then runs off whimpering. The man
suddenly collapses onto the ground. Then two of the investigating
team begins to complain that they are having trouble breathing.
Suddenly the air is filled with a strong odor that was compared to
rotten eggs. The man as he came out of what appeared to be an
almost trance-like state began talking about visions he saw about
the end of the world, etc. He claimed to have seen an “evil specter”
attired all in black. He had heard his name called from the woods.
Smeltzer felt faint and Dave Baker lightheaded. Stan Gordon and
Stephen smelled a sulfurous smell that none of the surroundings
or equipment could supply."

This sighting is quite remarkable for it's connection to the Men In Black phenomenon, occurring as it did in 1924 long before the accounts of MIB's started up in the 1950's. Such a spin-off trope from the UFO narrative has many amazing accounts of these beings being, not govt agents as they portray themselves as being, but tulpas/golems of the intelligences behind the ufo phenomenon itself.
====================================================================
"The late and groundbreaking Ufologist John Keel (John Alva Kiehl) reported a bizarre possible
crash & retrieval case which involved strange characters, perhaps precursors of the modern day
M.I.B. The incident is said to have occurred one afternoon in May of 1924 near the small town
of Gem, West Virginia:

A farmer outside Gem in monster haunted Braxton County reported seeing an ‘airplane’ crash in a
forest. Planes were a very rare sight in those days especially in West Virginia, and a crashing plane
was big news. According to the farmer, the plane was very odd in that it didn’t seem to have any
wings, didn’t make any noise and seemed unusually large. “As big as a battleship” is the way the
farmer described it. A party of men, including the local sheriff and local newsman John Cole
systematically searched the woods. Within hours they found the wreck in a small clearing. According
to Cole:

“We weren’t the first ones there, though. There were already five or six men in the clearing. Some of
them were dressed in black business suits, neckties and all, and that seemed damned silly in that neck
of the woods”. Others were dressed in coveralls of a funny color---some kind of very shiny material.
They were talking among themselves in a rapid-fire foreign language when they found them. They got
real excited when they saw the search party. The men in coveralls ran into the wreck---like they were
trying to hide. Some of the men in the search party were carrying guns and one of them said to Cole,
“By God, they’re spies!” and he raised his gun. The strangers were all small, just a little over five feet
tall, and they all looked like Orientals, with high cheekbones, slanted eyes, and dark skin. One of them
spoke English. He told the men nobody was hurt, that everything was all right. He said he would call
on the sheriff later and make out a complete report. There wasn’t much they could do. No crime had
been committed. Nobody was hurt.

According to Cole while he was looking around he spotted a ‘little thingamajig” on the ground. He
picked it up and decided to keep it. He doesn’t know why he just didn’t turn it over to one of
“foreigners”. He put it in his pocket. They all finally went away, leaving the foreigners to fuss with
their contraption. It didn’t look like much of a flying machine. It fact, Cole didn’t think it could fly at
all. It was like a fuselage of a modern plane, with windows and all. But it didn’t have any wings, tail or
propellers. And like the farmer said, it was mighty big. According to Cole at least seventy five feet
long, it filled the whole clearing.

He went back home in Weston and went right to bed. He was pretty tired from all the day’s hiking.
About three a. m. somebody started pounding on his door. He got up and looked and there was an
army officer standing there. He was dressed in one of those broad-brimmed hats they used to wear,
with those leg wrappings and all. It was a U.S. Army uniform, but except for his clothes he looked just
like those foreigners from the airplane. Slant eye, dark skin, but he was maybe a little taller. ‘You
picked up something today,’ he said. ‘We need it back.’ Cole was half asleep and at first he couldn’t
think what he meant. Then he remembered the metal ‘thingamajig” It was still in his coat pocket. Cole
went and got it. “Is this what you mean?” He asked him. He didn’t answer; he just grabbed it and
walked off without a word. He didn’t, seem to have a horse or a car. Cole shuffled back to bed. But
the next day he started wondering about it. How had the supposed officer managed to track him
down? A couple of days later he went back to those woods and found that clearing. It was empty. The
grass and bushes were all crushed down where the airplane had been but there was no other sign of
anything or anybody. After the Army ‘officer’ came by Cole figured that maybe it was a secret Army
deal of some kind and he thought it was better to leave it alone."====http://www.ufoinfo.com/humanoid/forgottencases.pdf

Those crews that are dispatched by the Chronos Patrol for the clean-up of time travel mishaps are sure thorough. Right down to the official-appearing uniforms for a particular decade or century and noticing the most trivial item on an inventory list missing.

"Three 18-year old men, Mikhail Babkin, Nikolay Leontyev and Vitaliy Kravchenko were
in a room at the local sports complex, "Oktyabryonok." They had been celebrating the
passing of the old New Year with glasses of champagne and enjoying steam baths in the
sauna and swimming pool, also eating mixed with some vodka. At 0600A [?]the
watchman proposed that the young men go home and accompanied them to the rear exit
of the building, through a long corridor with concrete walls without windows. The
corridor was located in the basement area near the pool's walls. They were walking along
the corridor in the following order, the watchman walking ahead, followed by Leontyev,
then Babkin, and followed by Kravchenko. The corridor was very narrow. Suddenly
Mikhail Babkin seemed to trip, despite the narrow corridor and the obvious lack of
reason. The smooth concrete floor had no potholes. However Babkin's left leg had tripped
over some kind of "hole." He screamed and Leontyev turned around in amazement. He
could not believe his eyes as he saw Babkin's shoulder penetrate into the concrete wall
and in a moment Babkin's entire body vanished into the wall. He disappeared, apparently
dissolving into the wall (!). The stunned witnesses began examining the wall with their
hands looking for any doors or crevasses but their hands only touched concrete. Mikhail
later told his friends that he had suddenly entered a small and dark room. To his left he
could see an object, which resembled a medical examination chair. Across from him he
could see a slightly opened door. There was a narrow window on the right wall of the
room. He could see tops of trees entirely covered in dense green leaves, they were and
moving about in a strong wind. Babkin was amazed, it was in the middle of winter, but
outside this "window" it appeared to be summer and broad daylight. Also a few seconds
ago he had been walking in an underground corridor and here he was looking at a view of
a fourth story floor. Moving as if in a trance Babkin moved towards approached the
slightly opened door and pushed it open. He then entered another room, also shrouded in
gloom. There was a round platform on the ceiling that gave off a faint light and there
were no windows in the room. A similar "medical chair" stood near the wall. He felt very
lightheaded and moved about like a robot; he walked forward and opened another door,
stepping into the strangest room yet. It was absolutely dark, with some bright areas
visible in the inky darkness. The lights seemed to hypnotically influence Babkin. He
became numb, unable to look away from the lights. Suddenly he noticed several black
humanoid figures that appeared in front of him, faintly lit by the pulsating patches of
light. Their heads appeared rectangular in shape. They were five of them and they stood
unmoving in front of him. One of the humanoids, standing in the front was slightly
hunched over and appeared to be working in with some kind of device that gave off light.
[How can they all be unmoving while one is working?] The device was not big,
resembling a "corncob" with a pointy end, which was pointed aimed directly at Babkin.
The object emanated a very bright light but strangely it did not illuminate the surrounding
area. Babkin then heard a male voice inside his head which the voice said, "This one?"
Another voice, also inside Babkin's head answered, "No, not him." The first voice then
said immediately, "Memory erasure is necessary." This phrase frightened Babkin terribly.
He realized that with deafening clarity that it was his memory that was going to be
erased. Horrified, Babkin seemed to snap out of his confused state and ran out the door
and suddenly jumped back into the corridor of the sports complex, screaming inarticulate
remarks. He heard a door closed behind him with a loud slam, when he turned around the
door was gone. His friends had been searching for him for about an hour, running across
the complex in complete despair. But according to Babkin he had spent only five minutes
in that other strange parallel world.

This case is unknown in the West, but well known among UFO ufologists in Eastern
Europe where similar incidents have been recorded. It is difficult to classify such an
event, which describes what appeared to be a totally alien environment beyond detection
by our normal senses."====http://www.ufoinfo.com/humanoid/epitome.pdf

"During the October to December period of 1977 and the early days of 1978 the Brazilian state of Para became the biggest UFO hotspot in the world. But this was slightly different from the UFO norm – this was aggressive contact!

This had nothing to do with distant ships at high altitude passing through the sky at light speeds – this was about vessels flying at low altitudes through tree tops and actually firing laser beams at people!

People were actually harmed in these attacks – it actually happened and the witnesses lived to tell the tale. The pilots of these strange UFO’s also showed their faces – they were said to have been no more than 4.5 ft in height!

Chupa Chupa

The locals who experienced the Colares UFO attack referred to the bright lights as Chupa Chupa – the Sucker! This was mainly down to the fact that the strange vessels/lights shot beams that would leave strange scars and small holes on the skin.

All of the victims of these laser beams would complain of losing blood through the experience and then medical conditions afterwards. Common complaints were related to headaches, numbness and dizzy feelings.

It was a state of pure terror throughout the country – nobody knew why the attacks were happening and nobody knew what the strange UFO’s were!

The Unexplained…

These incidents captured the world’s imagination and towards the end of the seventies a collection of scientists arrived at Para to find the answer to the Colares UFO attack. This proved fruitless as all of them failed to come to a conclusion on the strange occurrence.

There is apparently a Brazilian military report in existence that is 2000 pages long including video evidence and photographs. It is thought to be known as ‘Operation Saucer’. There are thousands of signatures from around the world on a petition to release this illusive document – politicians, leaders, journalists and scientists have all signed it!

Part of the report is thought to have surfaced through an officer called Uyrangê Hollanda. Apparently he was the officer that was sent to interview the victims of the Chupa Chupa attacks. Out of all the victims he interviewed one stood out the most – a lady named Claudomira Paixão.

Claudomira Paixão - colares ufo attack

Claudomira Paixão had been asleep in bed late one night and awoke to see a Chupa Chupa outside her bedroom window. Through her panic she also noticed the pilot of the vessel get out and point a gun-like object at her. At first it shot a green light at her breast area and then the light turned a severe red – this is when it became painful!

She reported that this strange being wore some sort of diver’s cloth and was blinking furiously. She was positive that the gun object and the beams it shot were collecting blood from her.

Uyrangê Hollanda also reported that the frequency of the Colares UFO attack used to send locals into a panic. They would often use flares to warn one another that the Chupa Chupa were coming to prepare their rifles.

One of the men who tried his luck shooting at the craft was a carpenter in his 50’s. He fired and hit a Chupa Chupa only for it to respond by shooting a beam back at him – the man lay paralyzed for 15 days before he could move again!

No explanation by the Brazilian military has ever been offered to the people of Colares. They would not even confirm that the UFO’s were responsible for the strange laser beams of light!

The Colares UFO attack still remains one of the most fascinating alien encounters of all time. The amount of information that has been suppressed by the Brazilian Military is anyone’s guess. It’s kind of infuriating knowing that this ‘Operation Saucer’ report existed but was kept well away from the public – will we ever know the truth behind the Chupa Chupa?"===http://topfoundfootagefilms.com/colares-ufo-attack

This particular account is so strange and extraordinary that I suspect its cause might be some sort of mental illness or chronic psychotic state. We certainly should acknowledge the possibility of this in those cases involving only one eyewitness. Nevertheless, just as an anomalous experience or visionary state of mind, it is interesting that such can happen at all to what would seem to be an otherwise normal and sane person.

By John Dux

"At about 11 pm on June 22 last year, gold prospector Albert Smith noticed three lights in the sky.

Silently and slowly they moved down toward him and then nestled in a clump of trees near his camp.

He saw figures emerge amid dazzling lights.

Thus began the most incredible, two days in the life of 47-rear-old Albert .... the two days In which he claims he was visited by people from another world at his lonely camp on the Bulloo River in far southwest Queensland.

Smith is not Albert's real name. But that's what we said we would call him when he agreed reluctantly to an interview last

Be claims he spoke to the visitors, watched them play games with what appeared to be lightning balls, saw them disappear and then reappear and stood spellbound as the intergalactic travellers created instantaneous rain.

Last week Albert recalled his meeting with the 35 men and women from a place they called Begua.

He said: "It was in near freezing weather yet the women were wearing summer type clothing.

"The men were tressed in what looked like grey businessmen's suits.

"They all appeared very human but their skin was a blue-grey color.

"Their craft were about 50 metres high, each with fire supporting legs.

"The leader said his name was Behnar. When I touched him It felt like I was touching very soft rubber.

"When I asked them questions they seemed to know what I was going to say before I said it "

"And I think they only permitted me to ask what they wanted me to.

"I'm sure they had control of my mind for those two days.

"I think their powers were almost limitless."

Albert said the aliens could speak English but only in whispered tones.

"They appeared to be able to communicate with their hands as well.

"Only a few of them stayed near the camp. The rest went down to
the river.

"One woman told me she was 490 years old. She looked it too; like a mummy from some sort of Egyptian tomb.

"At one stage they all started to play a game with hundreds of these balls which seemed to throw out lightning.

"These people could leap 60 metres in one jump.

"When they left the only thing that remained was a very heavy smell of kerosene. There were no marks or objects left to prove their existence.

"Just before they finally disappeared the leader told me he was going to make rain. A short time later it suddenly started to pour.

"It was eight days before the rain stopped.

"I wanted to see their craft taking oft but again I think they controlled me.

"I was lying in bed and could not get up. It seemed like I had 200 kilograms of lead my legs."

The June visit was the fourth experience Albert has had with visitors from outer space since he began prospecting hi the area five years ago. In the winter of 1973 he saw a fleet of 16 spacecraft hover over the area and then move away.

In May the following year he approached a cigar-shaped craft hovering above the ground.

He saw men in the cockpit and a woman at one of the windows. It sped away hi what appeared to be a flash of light.

And in June 1976 another brilliantly illuminated craft appeared.

Albert said: "I have not yet approached the authorities about this.

"A lot of other things happened which I don't want to talk about at this stage.

"No one will believe me until I get proof and that's what I intend to get as soon as I possibly can.

"I will be going back to the area late February but this time I will have a camera. I have begun to document all these experiences.

"I am very scared and frightened about going back but they did not harm me the first time. I hope they won't if they visit me again."===http://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case441.htm

Notable for several repeated encounters with very strange events/entities seen by multiple witnesses:

The Fife Incident (Scotland)

"On the evening of 23rd September 1996, Mary Morrison (pseudonym), accompanied by her ten-year-old son, Peter and her friend, Jane, (pseudonyms), left their farmhouse to travel to a nearby town because they had run out of coffee. The time was around 8.05pm. On the way there, they observed a huge white stationary light in the sky. Initially they thought hat this was either an aircraft or a helicopter, but after a few seconds the bright light split into two. They stopped the car, got out, and were further amazed to see bright spotlights illuminating the ground before them. All three of them then observed a huge black triangular object with a number of red lights attached to it. After a few moments, it gradually drifted away and was lost to view.

On their journey back from the shop, they observed the same or a similar object again, but on this occasion it appeared to rush towards their car. Peter was so scared that he began to cry. This seemed to be conveyed to the object, for as soon as he started crying, it quickly departed. Although they were all shaken by the sighting, Mary and Jane were also intrigued. Back home they told Jane's daughter Susan about what they had seen. She thought that her mother and friend were having a joke with her and refused to believe them; however, after much persuasion, she decided to go out into the dark night with them to see if perhaps the thing was still there.

As the car was heading out to where they had had the initial UFO sighting, all of them in the car became aware of a tremendously bright white light on the ground beside a group of trees. Also observed by them at this point was an immense bright blue glow which was shining up from the ground and out through the trees. They likened it to a bright searchlight as it continued its spinning movements out through the trees.

In an effort to get closer, they decided to drive down a small winding road. Soon the blue spinning light was joined by other lights of red and green. Mary likened them to a laser light show and was actually moved to tears by them.

SMALL GREYS, LARGE CONTROLLER

At this point, events began to take a more dramatic turn, for whilst they were all captivated by these spinning lights, Mary suddenly became aware of figures silhouetted in the lights --- small grey figures who were running around and appeared very busy picking up what looked like boxes or cubes, and also cylinders or canisters. Further back in the wood, she saw what looked like a dark triangular structure to and from which these small 'beings' were coming and going. But what really surprised Mary most was the sight of a very large 'being' who was of a different colour from the rest. This 'being' she said, was a sort of "tan brown"; he was standing a short distance away from the rest of these 'beings', as if he was in charge. Indeed, at one point, this large 'being' actually stretched down towards the ground and opened his right hand to 'something'. Then he straightened up and moved back towards the trees.

In the sky around this amazing spectacle, were hundreds upon hundreds of small star-like 'things' which were just hanging low down in the air. Suddenly a bright beam of light shone down from the sky and illuminated the road in front of them. At this, they all jumped back into the car and quickly sped away from the scene.

Arriving back at Jane's house, they told the latter's husband about what had happened. Unfortunately he had to go to work, but offered them the use of his binoculars should they wish to go out and look for these 'things' once again. Although all the witnesses were slightly shaken by these events, curiosity was getting the better of them, and they decided that they would indeed once more go out into the night to look for the 'beings' again.

Upon doing so, they once more observed many strange star-like 'things' hanging low down in the sky, and also an immensely bright white light near a transmitter which was flashing in a sequence of three. Further along the road, they pulled up and started to observe what resembled a 'squashed ball' elongated from top to bottom. It was a hot fiery orange colour with big irregular indentations in it, "It looked really shimmery" said Mary.

Not long after this, all the witnesses once more beheld small 'beings' in the woods. However, this time, events took a more alarming turn, for as the witnesses were observing these 'beings' in the woods, Mary noticed a blue 'mist' starting to come from the woods and into their direction.... Contained within this blue 'mist' were several small grey 'beings' who were not walking, but being 'propelled' towards them in the mist. That was it! They had seen enough. This was too much!

Mary and Jane and the two children dived into the car and sped away. However just before they left this amazing scene, Jane observed, out of the rear car window, a tremendous burst of intense blue light which lit up the whole area just like daylight. Amazingly, they then observed some bales of straw, which had been sitting in the farmer's field, somehow move towards their car, and just before they left, Susan (Jane's daughter) shouted "There is one standing grinning at me!" Arriving back at Jane's house they stayed up most of the night extremely shocked and amazed.

OUR INVESTIGATIONS

During the course of our SPI Investigation, we uncovered the fact that all the witnesses, (apart from young Peter) had strange bruises or discolourations on their bodies. Jane found two marks on her body; one was on her right buttock, the other one was underneath her right breast on her ribs. Susan (Jane's daughter) discovered a mark on her right shoulder; it was about four inches long and appeared roughly around a week after their sighting.

FURTHER EVENTS

On Sunday, October 20, (a month after the incident), one of Mary's friends, along with her son, came to visit. She left her son and young Peter playing happily in the bedroom. However, things were soon to change, for a short while later, as Peter looked out of his bedroom window, he was surprised to see a small 'white being' "with lots of jagged teeth" looking straight at him. This 'being' was free-floating, and was not standing on top of the kitchen roof. He was too small for that. After a few seconds, this 'being' just simply floated straight upwards with ease, and was gone in seconds. According to Peter, his friend also saw this strange 'being'.

Later on that same night, Mary was on the phone to Garry Wood, a UFO researcher who had himself had a UFO experience. Just prior to the phone call, Mary had run a bath for her son. Mary was explaining to Garry about some recent strange events when all of a sudden she heard her boy screaming at the top of his voice, "Mummy, Mummy, come quick! please come quick!" Mary immediately threw down the phone in mid conversation and dashed up the stairs three at a time. She entered the bathroom and found her son in some distress.

After she had calmed him down, he explained that as he had entered the bathroom, he saw a small white 'being' standing next to the wash-hand basin and bath. This 'being' also had "a row of jagged teeth." He was small and thin and looked very pale. After Peter had screamed, this 'being' just simply vanished. Mary had to eventually sit outside the bathroom door while her son took his bath. Indeed he was still so frightened that she had to sleep beside him with the bedroom light left on throughout that night.

OUR ENQUIRY CONTINUES

These are but some of the facts that SPI uncovered during our interview with Mary Morrison. My own personal opinion is that she is telling the truth, and I am convinced of her sincerity. SPI followed the normal Investigative procedures in an effort to try to find out if there were a rational explanation to account for this sighting. We wrote to many U.K. Airports asking them if they had any air traffic in the sky on that particular night (letters on file). They either replied that they did not, or that this particular area in Fife was outside their jurisdiction.

The Police were also notified to see if any members of the public had phoned to their station with similar accounts, but apparently no one had. And we eventually received a reply from the Ministry of Defence in London (a Miss Gaynor South) Secretariat (Air Staff, Nick Pope's old seat!!) who informed us and I quote:

"I have looked into the incident and have found that two Tornados were operating from RAF Marham between 8.00pm and midnight in the Fife area on the 23rd of September 1996. They were undertaking night-time low-level flying training. I have also checked through our sighting report files, and can confirm that no sightings were reported to the MOD for 23rd September 1996 from the Fife area."

Ah, "two Tornado jets" --- well that would explain it all, wouldn't it!! Obviously what the witnesses had seen that eventful night, was certainly not "two Tornado jets." SPI worked closely with two local Fife newspapers and, through them, we received a number of other reports from witnesses to unusual aerial activity in the skies above Fife, admittedly not all on that same night, but certainly of objects which, in the main, were black and were triangular.

Reminiscent of a mother and daughter who along a rural road saw acrobatic orbs in the sky. Eventually coming upon a brightly lit craft resting at an intersection with strange-headed figures illuminated beside it. One notified patrolman even followed one of the orbs for awhile, which is probably why the account made the local paper. The county authorities informed the mother and daughter a couple of weeks later that it had been learned that the National Guard had been performing helicopter maneuvers in that remote area. Helicopters would have beat Tornadoes in at least the sense of them being able to land without an airstrip.

Yeah..I googled imaged tornado jets and immediately saw that these would be high altitude and roaring craft unlike anything these people witnessed on these nights. It demonstrates the typical dismissive tactic of skeptics to take any mundane cause as sufficient to explain the event while not explaining any of the details of the event itself. In this case the hovering of the craft, the beams of bright light shone down on the earth, and the entities seen in connection to these craft.

Here's a case of two forest workers and actual physical contact made with an entity with startling results. Note the repeated detail of the entity floating above the ground.

" On Friday, February 5, 1971, two young men from Kinnula. Petter Aliranta (21) and Esko Juhani Sneck (18), were working in the woods of the village of Kangaskyla in Kinnula, near the borders of the counties of Middle Finland and Vaasa. At about 3.00 p.m. they were about to end their work, for the cloudy day was slowly turning dark. Aliranta had just turned off his motor saw, when he suddenly noticed a strange metallic-looking object at tree-top level which was descending straight down. It had the shape of two saucers on top of each other and was about 5 metres in diameter. At the bottom of the vehicle there were four thin (5-10 cms.) landing feet, more than 2 metres long. Within a few moments the object descended in a small opening between the trees, about 15 metres away from Aliranta and Sneck. The last-mentioned, however, did not notice what was going on at this time as he was still busy cutting branches off a tree with his motor saw.

During the descent, a round opening appeared in the centre of the underpart of the UFO, and from this, immediately the vehicle had settled firmly on the ground, a strange little being glided down. It actually did glide down those two metres to the snow-covered ground; there was no normal falling movement. After this, the being started approaching Aliranta. Its movements were very stiff and the steps short. The being looked like a space-man, or robot, and was less than 1 metre tall, perhaps 90 cms. The body was covered with a one-piece suit of a green colour. The head had the same cover, and in the middle of it was a sort of lens facing forwards. The hands were round at the tips and no fingers could be seen. The "boots'" at the feet were a uniform part of the dress, and green as well.

The humanoid seemed to move in a strange way on top of the snow surface; it did not go down into the deep snow as one would have expected. As this entity was slowly but steadily advancing towards Aliranta, he started his motor saw and began to approach the strange walker with motor saw in hand. At this point, Esko Sneck also became aware of the strange happenings; the turning on of the motor saw had made him turn around to see what Aliranta was up to.

"The little green man" and Aliranta were approaching each other, the distance between them now less than 10 metres. Suddenly the being turned around and started eventually to go back towards the saucer. This made Aliranta braver, and he hurried to catch the humanoid. Within the saucer, other entities were now visible; there were three "windows" on the topside of the vehicle (about 1 metre wide) and through one on the right side three moving forms were visible, humanlike, although no features or details could be seen.

As Petter Aliranta was about to get hold of the humanoid, when about 3 metres from the saucer, it rose into the air in a strange way, floating towards the opening from which it had come. The humanoid having risen to more than 1 metre above the ground, Aliranta reached out quickly and grabbed hold of the heel of the right "boot" with his bare right hand. However, he had lo let go of the foot right away as it burned like a hot iron (the wounds caused by the burning on the thumb, forefinger and inside of the hand were still clearly visible two months later). At the same time, Aliranta automatically took a couple of steps backwards, so the entity was able lo glide back into the craft undisturbed.

The moment the humanoid had got into the saucer, the latter started to give a slight humming or buzzing sound, and it slowly started to ascend from the ground. Aliranta felt a weak gust of air at this moment, but no smoke or smell could be detected, nor any light phenomenon (there were no lights visible on or in the vehicle during the incident). As the saucer rose upwards the round opening at the bottom closed (but the landing feet kept their position) and within some fifteen seconds the whole object had disappeared into the sky.

According to the eye-witnesses, the visit of this strange craft lasted at least three minutes. After the saucer had disappeared the men could not talk, for they were too amazed by the whole incident. They felt stiff all over and had some difficulty in moving, especially Petter Aliranta. It took them close on one hour before they were able to walk away from the woods. Before they left they had a closer look at the markings left in the snow, evidence of this incredible happening.

At the end of each landing foot there had been a round plate. These plates had penetrated the full depth of the snow cover (then about 40 cms.), leaving four round prints (about 35 cms. across) in an even square with a side of about 2 metres. Within this square the snow had melted some 5-10 cms. on the surface. The footsteps left by the humanoid were also clearly visible. They were small (15 cms.) and quite circular in shape. The strides were all along the same length (even those made during the chase): about 20 cms.

(...) During the course of the investigation no details appeared of anything which could have made the story of these two men questionable. "=======http://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case718.htm
