I am 99% sure someone I know (actually now RIP) saw alien 'things' in the sky so I accept aliens of some sort are a real thing.

Yep..me too. Too many "on the level" people reporting highly specific but totally bizarre things out there. Same with "interdimensional" Bigfoot! As quoted from Buffy The Vampire Slayer: "The dimensions are b-l-e-e-d-i-n-g together."

I'm not entirely sure .. that everything Carlos Castaneda wrote .. was fiction.

Some days...when the sky glooms over greenly with a ghastly glow...I fancy myself some sort of haphazard shaman...an unwitting lightning rod for supernal bedazzlement.

Aliens (biological or perhaps more likely AI) are currently visiting the Solar System and might have been here for a long time.
It isn't something that I actually believe is true. But I certainly think that it might be true. I believe in the possibility. There's plenty of evidence that's consistent with that hypothesis.

(Pre-Dreamcatcher) For some reason I just pondered that you might find it, well different.

I tend to favor the Rare Earth hypothesis, where the mediocrity principle goes out the window and complex life and intelligence may not exist anywhere else in the galaxy. That's unpopular, crazy heresy to even the mainstream sector that laughs at UFOs being space aliens. Their animosity to REH perversely reveals they might actually be more along the line of self-hating theists or closet-dwelling "believers" in their own uniquely warped and knotted way.

Oh and I also suspect there is an alien base located deep underneath the ocean off the coast of California near Catalina Island.
