For consciousness itself we have only endless metaphors and ineffable phenomenal manifestations, like a man held in prison his whole life trying to remember what freedom was like. Explanation after all is only ever just a weak and abstractive substitute--a representation-- for the experience of the reality.
I disagree. I have a way of reaching maximal levels of intelligence, and I believe that one of these days my mathematical knowledge will enable me to translate consciousness using the highest form of language, namely formal language. With the aid of Christopher Langan's Metaformal System I foresee tremendous promise. Especially in the likelihood of artificial intelligence reaching true consciousness. This coming from someone with a merely moderately gifted IQ.
