So if you thought only Norwegians lived on this remote, isolated arctic island... Think again. People from around the world do. Several films have been set in Svalbard. That's "set" in Svalbard, not necessarily actually shot there. The television series Fortitude featured a fictional community on the island, but was actually filmed in Iceland.

I've been living here for almost four years now, which sounds crazy to me because I came here for only 4 months and I ended up buying a cabin here.
