Large Language Models are trained on human speech, which necessarily includes human knowledge.

There is a huge difference between using words effectively and having knowledge. One is an activity any toddler can perform. The other is an internal and private experience of the actual state of things. LLMs operate on probabilities because they lack this inner knowledge to guide them. They're like the 100 monkeys eventually typing all of Shakespeare's works, only sped up with an ongoing tally of the probabilistic correlations between words and sentences. There is nothing "knowing" about it.

First Drag Queen Elected To U.S. School Board Arrested For Disturbing Child Sex Crimes
Longo has been charged with child sex crimes, including possessing porn depicting the sexual abuse of infants.

A man who routinely boasted about being the first open drag queen to be elected to a school board in the United States was arrested last week for disturbing sex crimes involving children as young as 18 months.

Travis J. Longo, 46, who is the vice president of the Cazenovia Central School District’s board of education in New York state, was initially charged over a “pattern” of sending explicit communications to a child under 12 years old. Once authorities seized and searched Longo’s phone, child pornography was discovered.

Tyler Toomey, a spokesperson for the United States Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of New York, said some of the videos on Longo’s device depicted the sexual abuse of infants.

Longo, who was elected to the school board in 2024, has been charged federally with receiving and possessing child pornography and also faces four counts of endangering the welfare of a child in state court.

No one claims that LLMs have any internal understanding. A curriculum textbook also has no internal understanding of its own contents, but I doubt you're foolish enough to claim it is devoid of human knowledge. This proves that things without any internal understanding do and can convey human knowledge. And if you could refute the points supported with LLMs, you wouldn't feel the need to repeat this genetic fallacy so much.

No..the text inside a book does not "contain" knowledge like it was just objectively existing information. It only becomes knowledge when it is read by an educated and thinking mind. It requires a knowing being to decode the text as knowledge. Without it they are simply physically printed glyphs on paper. To an illiterate person all that text would be meaningless.

"Alrighty y'all, I moved to Portland, Oregon about four years ago from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before I left Pittsburgh, I considered myself pretty far left, and then like COVID happened, and then I moved to Portland and saw what far left really looked like, and I just, I feel like the left has lost all common sense at this point. I thought the left cared about the environment because if you look at what the homeless population out here alone just does for the environment is pretty insane. But all that being said, like I feel like all the morals have went out the window. All like the things that like y'all truly fought for went out the window. Now it's all about like protesting Tesla, hating Trump and like fighting for men to have babies or something. Like it's literally crazy out here. And I know, like I said, I've known this moving out here, but I really thought like, you know, we've had some common ground considering like I used to be like one of you. But if anything, it just turns me further to the right, seeing how people act out here, seeing like the point of privilege everybody has too. It's literally insane. Like if you don't believe what they believe, then you're a piece of shit. And like, it's just a total la la land. And it's crazy to me that it's been normalized. And I think like Portland is a perfect example of why things shouldn't be far left and why we need to like kind of come back to common ground somewhere. So you can bitch at me all you want, but you know I'm right. And you know, there's plenty of people that think the same way as me. And Portland's just becoming a hub of mental illness and a place for people to go to just be weird. And it's not the good kind of weird. It's the type of weird that needs like medical attention. Police Take Down Heavily Armed Transgender Suspect Outside Of Casino
"If the FBI doesn’t come f***ing arrest me, there’s gonna be a f***ing mass shooting."

Police arrested a heavily armed transgender-identifying man who they said had a history of threatening mass violence after he parked a car loaded with firearms outside a Las Vegas-area casino.

Andrew Walsh of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department said Tuesday that law enforcement arrested 36-year-old “Allison” Howlett on Saturday on multiple charges, including “threats related to an act of terrorism.”

Howlett was arrested outside of the Sunset Station Casino in Henderson after police received a phone call from his spouse claiming that he had stolen a vehicle full of weapons and had previously threatened “to commit suicide by cop and carry out a mass shooting.”

Howlett faces charges including gun theft, theft of a car, resisting an officer with a gun, and making a threat of terrorism or false information about an act of terrorism. During a Tuesday briefing on the case, officers played a recording of a person purported to be Howlett making threats of mass violence.

“I swear to God, if the FBI doesn’t come f***ing arrest me, there’s gonna be a f***ing mass shooting,” a person reportedly identified as Howlett said in the recording. “There’s one day you’re gonna be pissing me the f*** off, and it’s gonna be the last f***ing straw.”

Rader played footage showing several police officers surrounding the car and pulling Howlett out. Rader said that Howlett had been sitting on a handgun and had access to a fully automatic machine gun in the back seat of the vehicle.

Investigators recovered 22 firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, including multiple handguns and rifles, in the car. Later, they found an additional 30 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition at Howlett’s residence.

A judge has set bail for Howlett at $500,000. A preliminary hearing date is set for July 15.
