Interesting how people seem to like acronyms but miss using ones like: MAGATS (Make America Great Again Trump Supporters)
Shooting Trump would be a bad idea for two reasons, one being immoral the other being it would make him a martyr.
Currently if he reaches the end of term (roll on 2.3 years) and is ejected, the US could tear down anything thats been renamed Trump without anyone turning a blind eye to it.
if a Martyr, suddenly all that horseshit becomes a shrine to someone spirited away before the years.... With a lot of tear jerking and souless merch being sold.

While Cole Thomas Allen didn't have a footprint on X, he did apparently post pretty prolifically on Bluesky, the left's supposed alternative to X, where he posted under the username 'ColdForce'.
Bluesky has taken those posts down since the shooting, but people recorded copies of the posts before that happened. And these are said to be those posts:

If they are really his, I didn't see much that's really indicative of an approaching terrorist act. He clearly loathed President Trump and Trump's supporters, but I didn't see anything more inflammatory than what MR posts. The most recent posts before he headed off to Washington DC were focused on Elon.
His very last post, posted Friday April 24, when his plan was probably already taking shape, was "Superman is clearly an angel". Unclear what the context for that was or whether he might have been referring to himself and his final mission. Actually a lot of his posts concerned religion in one way or another. He didn't seem to me to be anti-Christian so much as anti-some-Christians. He attacks JD Vance for converting to Catholicism if Vance is unwilling to submit to church discipline. (I wonder what he thought of 'liberal' Catholics who support abortion.) He liked posting apocalyptic imagery from Revelations and I think I saw a post where he refers to himself as a Protestant.
Many of his older posts were very pro-Ukraine and anti-Russia.

Maybe it was an allusion to Homelander being declared a "prophet of God" in the 5th season of The Boys. The showrunner turned Homelander into a character metaphor for Trump, and the latter himself got coincidentally mingled with Jesus a while back. Lots of assassinations in The Boys, too. Billy Butcher's primary obsession in the original adult comic book was to get revenge on Homelander (whack him and all supes).

In the wake of Saturday’s shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner — in which 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen allegedly rushed a security checkpoint and opened fire in an attempt to assassinate President Trump and other administration officials — at least one prominent Democrat is showing signs of remorse.
...
“There was a moment with John Fetterman and Erika that I heard about where he was pretty emotional, and he just apologized for whatever he could,” says Kolvet, noting that this conversation happened shortly after the WHCD incident.
“Good for John Fetterman. That’s a real moment,” he adds.

Espousing a belief beforehand that the attempt was fake doesn't seem to be working. Also the teachers being fired or disciplined due to their comments, not just: UnitedHealthcare fires employee who cheered would-be Trump assassin

The Trump staged shooting conspiracies need to stop ("it's all emotional theatrics" theory)

EXCERPT: And then there’s Erika Kirk, who was at the Correspondents’ Dinner when shots rang out. She was seen visibly upset, leaving the venue in tears. Within hours, social media was full of people mocking her and laughing at her pain.
Look, I don’t care what your politics are. I’m not a fan of Erika Kirk. I wasn’t a fan of her husband either. But this is a woman who watched her husband get assassinated in front of the world. So when she finds herself in a moment of unexpected live gunfire and chaos, and she reacts like a human being, I fail to find the humor in that.
You don’t have to like her. You don’t have to agree with her politics. You don’t have to support anything she has ever said or done. But she does not deserve this kind of disgusting ridicule. There is something deeply broken in the way people respond to moments like this now, where real fear and real emotion are turned into content for clicks.
Shame on anyone who thinks that is acceptable human behavior. ( MORE - missing details)
