Why we need History

Nothing seems to be changing because it is all changing at once. We are all sedated by the gradual often barely perceived morphing of our world all around us. An induced somnalescence made more unnoticeable because of our changing WITH the world. This is why we need a historical perspective on our contemporary age. History restores for us a sense of the real changes that have and are occurring all around us. And it contains a warning about our future—of not making the same blunders we blindly rushed into in our past.

“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”― George Orwell

“If you don't know history, then you don't know anything. You are a leaf that doesn't know it is part of a tree. ”― Michael Crichton

This is rich coming from you. You routinely ignore any history that you don't like or doesn't fit your current beliefs. 9_9

Every time the actual history is explained to you, you ignore it, in favor of your lazy MSDNC misinformation and conspiracy theories. You never learn from history, because you can't be bothered to learn history in the first place.

But... you could rectify that. You could try to rebut the history I've explained to you. But, I'm betting you just keep being lazy.
