Why would there be outrage if some fans of Obama depicted him as a saint? Doesn't even compare to posting a pic of yourself as Jesus.

Since Protestants generally view prayer and worship of saints as idolatrous, that would be setting Obama up as a false idol, which is blasphemous.

Those saint candles are for Catholics. And they have a right to practice their own religion as they see fit.
