The entire universe is a projection from a two-dimensional information structure. With admirable effort, Brian Greene demonstrates that matter and energy arise from quanta or bits, and may perhaps be an illusion (although he does not draw this conclusion explicitly). The illusion of materialism thus falls to the wayside. And this new picture hints at a metaphysical God.
