I ate a large extravaganza pizza from Domino's all by myself on Saturday. That's the one with all the meats and veggies. I looked 9 months pregnant! As far as geometrical dietary models go, forget the pyramid. The spoked pizza wheel is by far the best. Meat, veggies, fruit (tomato sauce and black olives), dairy, and grain. It even has fungi in the form of mushrooms! It is the delectable food of the gods.

The only thing undiabetic about pizza is the crust. And even the whole grain version of that is ok.

Not when you eat one meal a day, take Metaformin, and take daily "out of breath" walks. Recent A1C level at 7.0.

I fluctuate from 235 to 245. I need to get back down to around 210 or maybe even 200 which is what I was in the Navy even when I worked out.

You should know this. For instance, if I don't lose much weight when I first begin walking, it is probably due to the building up of muscle mass that replaces the fat loss. Long term walking will resolve that as more fat is lost. |
