VIDEO EXCEPTS: Today I would like to report about an arson attack on the electric grid in Berlin. It happened on the 3rd of January. A leftist terrorist group caused a short at a high voltage power line, and they caused a power outage for almost 50,000 households, probably even more.
But the city of Berlin reacted and could provide some households with electricity. But for 45,000 households, they did not have electricity for a couple of days.
So this was on the 3rd of January. Today is the 7th of January. They said that today, 4 days later in the freezing cold, they will get power again. So how did this happen?
[...] The power lines that come from this plant, they go over a small bridge, and this bridge is exposed. So it was easy for the terrorists to access this bridge.
[...] They needed like 4 days to repair this, to make some kind of emergency line connecting the households again. ... In four days, most apartment complexes will cool out. Some pipes will freeze and burst. ... The first day hospitals and nursing homes were evacuated, and then on the same day a letter claiming responsibility.
[...] Then also of course the internet was not working, the telephone was not working. Some people had wood stoves trying to keep warm also. Then the German army came in and was setting up soup kitchens and helped support the residents.
[...] So, these left-wing extremists, they take into account possible accidents, possible injuries coming from the blackout. Also, the schools were closed for at least 3 days during the power outage...
