Jeffery Kripal would agree with this thesis. That uaps, crytpids, and spirits are all one thing involving the extraordinary nature of human consciousness. We ourselves are paranormal beings, connected to astonishing events that defy our current physicalist paradigm. Not in the flesh per se, but in the mind, where we are radiant founts of energy and light. If reality is a mirror we are all looking into, what exactly are we seeing? More precisely, what are you when you see in the mirror cattle mutilations, poltergeist phenomena, and Sasquatch howls in the forest?
