McDonald's new AI generated Christmas ad (DIY poor quality?)

Begins circa the 3:16 minute mark if you want to go directly there. Strangely, I can't seem to find a stand-alone instance of the ad, sans commentary. But if it is as low resolution as in these hit pieces, then no wonder. You would think the company could afford the latest, top of the line generator instead of something that looks like it was outputted by online AI available to the public. Many of those banal YouTube ads mentioned below perhaps look better than this (though it is smoother or more continuous, no "missing frame" glitches).

VIDEO EXCERPT: McDonald's has just released a fully AI generated Christmas ad. And, this is one of the first major companies, to my knowledge, to put out a fully generated ad. Certainly, this is not the first fully generated AI ad to exist. I mean, I see those all over the place, but especially on YouTube and that sort of thing. Like, the ads on the internet seem like they're almost all AI now. But as far as a company of McDonald's size and influence, I think that this is new. This is an escalation in AI's war on humanity...

Apropo that the leading processed food giant would advertise itself with fake processed images.

...he says as he just got back from getting a 20 PC order of McNuggets. lol

If each scene had been made with real actors and real situations, I doubt that the internet would be afire with criticism. I feel that it's purely due to being generated by AI (and the poor definition), rather than the extra bevy of other gripes. I actually like the theme, because it jibes with my private attitude about the season. It could even be the first commercial I've ever seen doing that. (Granted, though, I don't retain much memory of any of them over the years.)

Yeah, likely a hate-clickbait ad strategy.
