With umpteen violent protests from the left, including many BLM, Antifa, anti-ICE, etc., one protest that got out of hand from the right pales in comparison. Plenty of Democrats have called for the death of ICE agents, Supreme Court Justices, etc..

Yes, most conservative views are more nuanced than most leftists will ever bother to find out. Yes, there are bigots on every side, but Charlie largely expressed the mainstream Christian/conservative view. Against things like gay marriage, but what adults consent to in private is between them.

Yeah, he had a script prepared .. nothing wrong with that .. what happened at the end though .. "..if you think that you are not a conservative."? Conservative? Did conservatives write the Bible? .. very possibly they did.
Conservatives are largely Christian. In the conservative, Republican, Christian Venn diagram, conservatism likely overlaps more with Christian. There's still a contingent of establishment Republicans who are not conservative.

So the shooter is gay, has a boyfriend/roommate looking to transition to a trans woman (Charlie shot answering a question about transgender mass shooters), confessed to the shooting in a message to the boyfriend, and the FBI has DNA evidence linking the shooter to the gun. Utah is seeking the death penalty and has firing squads. And teh FBI is tracking down several online accounts that seemed to have foreknowledge of the attack, for the possibility of criminal conspiracy.
