You're a special naive little boy if you think everyone just decides to come to the negotiating table all on their own.
If that were the case, there would never be any need to threaten tariffs. None of these countries were asking to negotiate before the tariffs.

An invitation to the White House to discuss trade usually suffices. Nobody needs to be bullied into it with fake threats of a trade war. That's why it's called diplomacy.

Again, why have these countries only negotiated when being threatened?
Remember, Canada and Mexico only agreed to the USMCA after Trump threatened to pull out of NAFTA in his first term.

If someone threatened you out of the blue wouldn't you reach out to them and try to resolve it? Most rational people would..

You didn't answer the question. Why did it require threats? Why hasn't diplomacy already solved the problem?

It didn't "require threats" since diplomacy would've worked just as well. Do you always threaten people to get them to do things instead of just respectfully asking them? Then you're an idiot.

You keep saying that, but reality begs to differ.

Can US manufacturers produce the same goods as China at a lower or even similar cost?
If you imagine a narcissist president dealing with this simple truth - Marvel Comic style - how closely does it match what we're seeing?
The subtleties of double-think are difficult to present in comic format - it just looks like nonsense or blatant lies.

I’m being very careful on how I interpret any news on Trump. I think Donald made us more than aware of fake news. Has he fallen victim to it himself during this tariff war?

I have read that since becoming Prez that his own personal fortune has doubled to about $5bn and that some of his tariff decisions have benefitted him personally. Is it true? I don’t know and how would we know? Who do you trust in the news world? Forbes? CNN?
