Mind-brain identity theory

A good overview of mind-brain identity theory, its two types, and some of the major proponents of it. For me it seems it would be great if things were really this simple and self-evident. But I suspect they are not. IE. how can a physical third person phenomenon like brain states be the same as an experiential first person phenomenon like mental states? As undeniably correlative as they seem to be, we have to admit that they are two fundamentally different kinds of happening. IOW, not the same at all!
