I don't know. Would it make any difference if it did? A symbol afterall isn't evil. It is simply a representation of an idea or belief.

Yes, a public (and thus tacitly publicly accepted) representation of literal evil. You can keep trying to put lipstick on a pig, but it ain't changing the fact it's a pig.
And the more you do, the more you demonstrate you're in the evil camp... not just a hapless moron.
