I feel like the paradox of self-inclusion exists twofold,in the physical universe of matter and energy, and in the realm of the mind. Both continuums rationally appear to be closed off to each other and self-contained in a sort of loop of self-referentiality. But our experience shows us that they DO interact with each other and assume each other in their essential being. So that's the paradox of it all. That matter and mind appear distinct and separate from each other but are yet transcendentally opened to each other and somehow interact thru our consciousness. It's basically the same as the Mind-Body problem. The monist posits some underlying Being or Essence that unites them both. You may call it God. I just call it Being or the Tao.
