I half-assed put together a survival kit for the Big One that is supposed to lay waste to the Portland Oregon region. I ordered several packs of red beans and rice, a pot, and a hot plate I can plug into the back of my 4 Runner. Also stored up a bunch of milk jugs of water. If I let myself go I can probably plan this forever, always worried by seismologists of the long overdue apocalypse. For now I'm resigned to the future. Whatever shall be shall be. If the roads are accessible I'll head back to my home state of Texas and sponge off relatives.
