Last week's science news examined (weekly episodes, Sabine Hossenfelder)

What?! In every forum I have ever participated in (kicked out of three so far for being 'noncompliant'), I made it perfectly clear My pursuit is one of truth not friendships. That doesn't equate to being out to create enemies. The latter is an unfortunate but inevitable consequence of being uncompromising.
So now you CC, descend into a hostile mode imo bearing no relevance to my entirely objective and deliberately brief post #14 here.

Now slated to languish as inactive backwater according to your strategy announced here:
https://www.scivillage.com/thread-13154-...l#pid55864

As always, a powerless pleb subject to the whims of forum higher-ups. Fine. Maybe better if I just lurk for an extended period.

CC, 'he' is me. You must know perfectly well there is an expected reasonable latitude when it comes to mildly sidetracking.
Would you like several dozen examples here at SV where you have shown no angst where and when said legitimate sidetracking has occurred? I'm guessing not.

PS: Regarding a gaffe made In #21. Androgyny (ugh) should have been misandry. As we all know, a term/condition very rarely referred to in modern PC culture.

Splendid. You've finally grokked that "off-topic" was what this was about.

Quote:It also concerns one of her stand-alone videos unconnected with the "science news" series posted in this thread. [...] What exemplifies an infertile topic better than the only post ever addressing a specific video having nothing to do with those here, but with an unassociated one submitted to another forum?

And it can be said now that this thread has progressed from being such a one that nobody was interested in to begin with, to a total goner now. But at least it got to kamikaze dive with notoriety. Thanks for supplying the trigger to put it out of its misery.

Well CC that confirms my take on your strategy of burying inconvenient facts. Did I actually 'trigger' this threads 'demise' though?
May I humbly suggest, as a lowly bottom tier forum pleb, that this thread's evident demise was entirely owing to your subjective whim.
Suggest, because outright claiming is, well, in context unbecoming imo. Not everyone feels so constrained in there judgemental judgements though. Just saying. Cool

PS: Is it not a tad absurd that Sabine's science - mostly physics - blogs is now slotted under a subforum 'Film, Photography & Literature'?! Really appropriate?! Really?

You brought about that realization concerning it, that it was a waste to even bother posting an installment once a week. ("What exemplifies an infertile topic better than the only post ever addressing a specific video having nothing to do with those here, but with an unassociated one submitted to another forum?")

But it's up to you. Personally, I'd want some degree of credit for wrecking the place, but if you want to give it all to me, then that's perfectly fine. <greed>

You really thought I'm going to continue posting it there? What would be the point -- just as infertile there as here.

Because of your opening statement here:
https://www.scivillage.com/thread-13154-...l#pid55864
"Looks like it's moving here. Last episode below. Another in a couple of days."

So the out is emphasis on 'looks like'? We are all anxiously awaiting I'm sure the eventual 'proper' home! May the universe guide your wise final choice!

I can't rule out somebody else posting Wednesday's installment there as an alternative to this train wreck. But seriously doubt it will happen.

I'm done with it. Though as aforementioned, having placed the puppy there in that spot, I shouldn't completely discount the [very, very] remote possibility of adoption.

Remembering a new one in the middle of the week (Wednesday) was my struggle, too. [hint]
