Shadow banned at SciVillage - maybe a first

Till today, the usual situation applied to me as to presumably every other thread poster here. Thai is, post a new thread, it automatically appears at the top of Recent Activity listing.
I'm referring to having posted 'Giving it a 'whirl' under Culture/Astronautics. No I'm not miffed owing to lack of thread exposure.
Just sad that this is, at best interpretation, the signal to me to 'pull my head in' and stop posting 'controversial' posts hitting on a certain 'culturally sensitive' general topic.

Hell I haven't even touched the third rail topic there. Tell yo what, CC, I'm not the type to stand being muzzled. So just do it properly and ban me outright. No tears here. Promise.

Making this an 'open letter'. Personal correspondence, formerly and incorrectly termed 'PMs' - might be more formally proper, but not the way for me.

Stryder is the owner/moderator of Scivillage.

You may have noticed that threads started in Survivalism don't show up at the top of "Recent Activity", either. It's similar with Astronautics because they both were created later than the rest. The technical reason as to why Stryder would have to explain.

A bit quick to jump the gun there. Let me just repeat what I think you said for clarity.

You posted a thread in Astronautics. It's not come up on the Recent Activity, so you assume it's been censored?

Astronautics was a subforum added on bequest of Yazata since they were already posting alot on the subject and the subforums didn't really cater to the topics.

It's therefore possible that on it's inception, a setting in the backend was likely missed attaching it to Recent Activity (some forums are omitted). I will have a look and see if thats the case. (If that proves to be the case It will be corrected shortly)

Edit: I'll check Survivalism too. Again they were add-on subforums, so likely got missed.

Edit2:
Now fixed. Like I said it was a missing setting that existed in/on a different page of settings outside of the subforum creation settings. Easily missed. As for Bans, Only spammers have been banned currently a few mysterious accounts have been put into a moderation queue (not active member accounts. Only sleeper accounts with potential spam output are in there.)

My bad there. Sorry CC. I do recall someone, probably over at SF, referring to SciVillage as 'CC's site'. Maybe because you are the #1 frequency poster (although a multi-colored unicorn has maybe taken that spot more recently).

Thanks for that response. My last thread posting under Biochemistry, Biology & Virology did subsequently get the automatic listing so that is consistent with your account. Could have sworn that e.g. Yazata's Astronautics thread postings did get to the top of Recent Activities listings, but maybe faulty recall there. Similarly for Survivalism thread postings. But the confusing mix and match with some Survivalism threads going to Do-It-Yourself has evidently thrown my recall off there too.
I notice postings to this section evidently don't appear in Latest Threads or Recent Activity listing.
