Russian Ukraine Invasion

No...the camera is the audience that Trump is playing to. Zelensky isn't playing to the camera. He is being real and looking shocked as he really felt, just like we all were.

Trump is looking at and talking to the people in the room with him. If Zelenskyy is genuinely emoting, why not emote to a person in the room (like a sympathetic lefty reporter) instead of an inanimate object?

Do you often emote to inanimate objects? That's weird.

For the mineral deal to be worth anything Putin's army would have to be either defeated or on the same side as the US. Defeating Putin's army (WWIII) isn't an option so Trump would need to 'phone Putin to say "Give me the deal I've done with Zelensky and I'll help you get the rest of Ukraine.". To me, Syne's suggestion that a large scale mining operation could occur in a war zone without the cooperation of both sides just isn't plausible. Recall JD Vance (channeling Trump) saying "I don't really care what happens to Ukraine.",
Edit..
Vance and Trump played their cards .. gratitude, respect, you have no alternative .. and it was a shambles.

He's authentically responding, not emoting, to the camera which is basically a window thru which millions of people are looking. He's an actor and is used to this consciousness of the lens. And it worked perfectly.

I've already told you that US investment in Ukraine would make Russia the aggressor toward the US, not vice versa. Putin knows that could invoke NATO, even without Ukraine being a member nation. Putin has never signaled wanting the entirety of Ukraine. So you let him keep Crimea (which Ukraine and Obama basically already gave him), give him Donbas, and let him withdraw while saving face back home. That's the ONLY out between a continued war of attrition and WWIII.

No one implied anything about mining in a war zone. That's your leftist delusion run amok.

He's not acting or playing at anything. He's authentically looking at millions of viewers and wondering "WTF?"

Yes, we know you lack the intelligence to realize that is literally "playing to the camera." But you'll keep trying to argue something you unwittingly agree with. 9_9

If I look at someone bewilderedly in a bewildering situation am I "playing to them"? No..I am just being myself. Same with the camera.

The Russians captured Toretsk a month ago and now the Ukrainians are trying to retake it. They are attacking from two directions in a pincer motion, trying to cut off the Russians in the west side of this small city.

Elsewhere, the Ukrainians who were almost surrounded at Kurakhove have evacuated and the Russians have occupied their pocket. The Russians continue to attack south and west of Pokrovsk but the Ukrainians are successfully preventing them from advancing. The Russians are advancing in the farm fields north and west of Velyka Novosilka.
