Is there a way to reuse candles?

It seems like so much of a candle is wasted when the center wick burns to the middle, creating this hole in the middle, with wax ''piling'' up on either side. Dodgy I've been reading mixed opinions on this, from ''noooo, never reuse candle wax'' to ''sure you can, just melt the remaining wax and put it into another holder.'' (But, the wick...how to create a wick?)

What are your thoughts on this?

Have you ever tried reusing candles?

Sloppily experimented with such once in the past, after coming across the bare wicks being sold and wondering "What???" initially. Wasn't impressed with the results, but -- again -- I only tried it in a slipshod manner, without much thought or concern about the results beforehand.

Yea, it strikes me that a lot of practice goes into getting the candles just right. Like anything, really...I have been intrigued with candle making lately, but it looks like you need a large workspace, which I guess my garage would be fine. Of course, the youtube vloggers make it look so easy although it's encouraging that some of them are novices at it, and the finished products weren't too shabby.

There's something rewarding about creating art, music, even everyday useable things with our own hands that is worth pursuing, I think...
