Cynic: Contrast the honesty below to the strategically duplicitous crusaders who hide this and resort to disinformation campaigns when such is brought into daylight.
However, should this heritage concerning the original New Left and the contemporary Woke version be posted?
Only if you contrarian, knuckle-dragging Systemic Haters are bright enough to grasp that this is not an excuse for antisemitism and misogynism -- via literally allowing this small segment to take such disproportionate credit.
The point is that there are still leftist social activists who are proud of their roots and their meandering debt to Uncle Karl, and they are valiantly distributed across many ethnic backgrounds. Not just many, but all population groups and gender dispositions. No single community can hog the honors for itself.
A toast to this kind of candor and forthrightness about any utopian pursuit's inspiring traditions and socioeconomic legacies.

Priscilla Murolo: From the 1920s into the 1950s, the Communist Party USA (CP) was the most dynamic sector of the American left, and Jewish women made up an exceptionally large portion of the party and its affiliated organizations. Yiddish-speaking immigrants were especially active in the 1920s, when the party fostered revolutionary yiddishkeit.
