Drinking wine out of a box

It isn't a joke. I've been known to drink milk in a box from Dollar Tree. It only costs a dollar and tastes like regular milk when refrigerated. It's ultrapasteurized and keeps well at room temperature if the box isn't opened. Has to be refrigerated after that.

I pay 3 something to drink my milk out of a plastic jug. I guess a box would be ok. Not so far off from the old cartons you'd have to tear open and fold back. Remember when milk was delivered in bottles? I don't. Smile

We sell a lot of shelf stable UHT (Ultra Heat Treated) milk in boxes including a wide range of "alternate milk beverages" made from almonds, oats and a variety of other plant products. It is very helpful for people living in cabins and the more remote communities. I usually have some in the pantry for emergency use. Great for baking and puddings but my kefir prefers the regular refrigerated milk.
