Pentagon confirms 'pyramid-shaped' UFO video footage is authentic

INTRO: A series of newly surfaced images and videos of unidentified flying objects filmed by the US Navy have now been confirmed as authentic by the Pentagon.

While many in the public generally refer to such mysterious sightings as UFOs, the more modern term used in defense circles is 'Unidentified Aerial Phenomena' (UAPs) – and they're something the intelligence community takes very seriously.

While UFOs are a stigmatized topic – associated with conspiracy theories and intertwined with pop culture – the fact remains that UAPs, sometimes also called Anomalous Aerial Vehicles (AAVs), are nonetheless very real, representing documented sightings of phenomena that neither the military nor scientific observers can easily identify.

The newly surfaced sightings, sourced by filmmaker Jeremy Corbell and reporter George Knapp, include footage of a mysterious "pyramid-shaped" craft observed flying through the sky, along with images of three other strange objects, one of which appears to have been shared online last year.

While nobody knows for sure just what these enigmatic visions really are, the Pentagon has at least confirmed that the images are genuine: authentic photography and footage of UAPs captured by the US Navy... (MORE)

Outstanding that the Navy confirms they took the videos/photos. More transparency on these matters is definitely a good thing.

Why were Navy personnel making video and photographic footage of ordinary aircraft, which would have lacked the bokeh effects with respect to their own eyesight and/or radar detection? Just an extremely boring night with nothing better to do?

One is still left with a motivation being that this aerial activity was possibly unidentified as either belonging to the US military or to commercial activity. Which is much more serious than space alien affairs and weird shapes. It's remarkable how interest is lost once the latter is off the table, as if why the navy and other military branches exist to begin with is either a mystery or unimportant.

"The Pentagon has confirmed that a number of freshly leaked videos appearing to show UFOs, or "unidentified aerial phenomena" (UAP) as they are officially known, were taken by Navy personnel. However, there's no word yet on what exactly these mysterious sightings actually are." https://www.iflscience.com/technology/pe...d-by-navy/

That's what I wonder about. At one point one ufo was described as flying 700 ft above the ship. These weren't mundane camera glitches to begin with. Someone had to run in and come back out on the deck with a FLIR camera.

Saw the image and immediately thought of the crap that floats around when a snow globe is shaken/moved. This so-called night vision video's subject looks and behaves like triangular glitter in a snow globe after its been shaken. Not saying it is, just that it's very similar. Lots of videos available for DIY snow globe makers and you can buy triangular glitter online. Use as much or little of it as you wish. How you photograph it is entirely up to you. Blurry pics not good enough for proof of anything IMO.

I wonder if you could duplicate this by putting some triangular glitter in a liquid inside a clear container, place it atop your camera lens, point it upwards and shoot a video with just your own movement of the camera causing the glitter to move around and reflect?

Yes and the blurred, smudgy images confirm ufos beyond any doubt.

Flashing ufos filmed using night vision camera. Do stars move around? I doubt like this. Illusion? Triangular ufos took the night off. Lots of different looks from this website...

All kidding aside, surely more complicated scenes could be manufactured in a studio or just by using one’s imagination.
