120 Years Ago Today...

120 years ago today two Ohio brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright completed the first piloted, heavier than air, powered airplane flight.

The truly amazing thing is that just 65 years and seven months after that, Apollo 11 landed on the Moon!

What happened during those 65 years and seven months from then to '69 seems to have changed "way of life" more radically than the circa 54 years since 1969.

I know Zoomers would go insane without smartphones and flat-screens. But after much despair, everybody else could survive the losses via retreating into dim recollections of having personally dwelled in such a barren realm before.

Who took the photo? That in itself must be worth a fortune. Was it of the original flight?

Unfortunately ……according to Google: North Carolina was one of two Confederate states who appropriated funds to the families of poor soldiers by taxing slaves and large landowners.

Could this happen? Only a matter of time before Kitty Hawk and the Wrights disappear from American history books as politicians continue to kowtow to special interests groups like BLM.
