For the legally illiterate, it's important to remember that any lower court ruling can always be appealed to a higher court. Most people assume any election case will ultimately be decided in the SCOTUS.

If it’s Wayne County then they have backed off and reversed decision, at least that’s what I think is being said.

People online were doxing them, so they were essentially threatened into certifying the results.

So... Biden has a five million vote lead lol Yea, I’m so sure Biden received more votes than Obama did in 2008.

Maybe whenever we read the news, we should assume the opposite is happening. I don’t buy it.

Just how many levels of court are there in America?

In federal election matters, suits usually originate in US District courts. Those rulings can be appealed to the US Court of Appeals, which is usually final, but they can still seek review by the SCOTUS.

For other matters, states have their own criminal and civil courts, appeal courts, and supreme courts, which could then be elevated to federal district, appeals courts, and SCOTUS. Lots and lots of courts. Want some?

I am currently locked down.
My core expenses are bread, margarine, Marmite, alcohol and tobacco - about £50 or $50 dollars a week and not much more. Other expenses could be rent, taxation, loan repayments and more - all of which would be enable others to have a standard of living which - well, how much bread, margarine, Marmite, alcohol and tobacco can anyone actually consume?

How hard is it to quit cigarettes and/or booze? I did it but it took cancer to convince me to do it.

Don't forget you need to pay for the internet.

Don't know what I'd be doing during this pandemic if it wasn't for the internet. At least I can shoot the shit with somebody, order take-out or delivery, shop....well my wife is the shopper. You get my drift.....and I don't need a mask to use it either.

I quit smoking pot about 20 years ago, swore off liquor about 18 years ago, basically quit drinking and smoking something like 16 years ago (aside from the occasional shot of vodka or couple of beers maybe once a year). No cancer or any other expediting factors. Tobacco was probably the hardest to quit, but I don't even have any cravings for any of it anymore. Too bad my experience isn't likely to be helpful to many others. Apparently "rational recovery" is pretty rare, especially when I didn't even know what it was called at the time and had no assistance or guidance. Even hanging around with friends while they were still doing all of the above.

If I had to give one bit of advise on the matter, I'd just say this: Quitting is not a single decision, nor is it a decision you must "re-make" every day. It is the one decision to quit and the decision that the first decision will stick. Instead of mustering the will over and over again, you just keep reaffirming the power of that initial choice.

I know, still probably not very helpful.
