Don’t ya know, it’s cool to hate America?  Rolleyes

I think Syne was really making a point about Trump being a charismatic leader - at least for some people. Given that he knows more about Trump supporters than I do I take his assumption that any reference to the lower percentile of IQ will automatically be a reference to Trump supporters at face value.

I think the idea of Trump supporters being this motley crew of uneducated hillbillies, clinging to their Bibles and guns became a leftist trope, shortly after Hillary Clinton referred to most of Trump's supporters as a ''basket of deplorables.'' Wow, that seems like a lifetime ago.

On another note, I just googled the word charisma, and there is a picture of Trump, among others considered to be ''charismatic'' such as James Bond.  Big Grin

Presuming in this context you might be referring to Trump supporters....fuck off, cunt.

Wow! Let the word ring forth from this time and this place, gentlemen. You call an American—any American stupid, we don’t come back with a proportional response.

We come back with total disaster!  Big Grin
Just trying to speak the common language of C2's part of the world. Notice I didn't call him a fanny (truly shock and awe).

..and white people, and Christians....

People can only be toxic for so long without eventually having someone shit down their throat.

No, considering your vile, foreign, and willful ignorance of America, it was a pretty safe bet that's what you meant. If not, do tell (fat chance).

You know that he'll try to spoil the fun by analytically digging its guts out, though (or something). Might or might not involve:

"Given that most groups have been or still are stereotyped and caricatured in a popularized manner specific to them, all that need be done is to utter one those (sometimes) taboo remarks when a particular (sensitive) member or representative of that group is nearby and they'll angrily swing about assuming the speaker is referencing them."

Still, the whole point is "Gotcha". Supplying theories for why it works shouldn't negate a specific instance of Gotcha. So... "Don't mess with the scorecard yet, Matilda. Referees are conferring among themselves about the matter."

EDIT: Drat, didn't get it posted soon enough. Already beat by two.

With the possibility of the election fiasco getting worse, are Americans worried about the dollar? What do you think will happen to it should this election go to the SC? If USA becomes laughing stock of the world do you think the greenback will go out of favour with the possible result of it being replaced as the international currency reserve?

I think if Biden takes office in January, the dollar will weaken as a huge stimulus package is presented against the plans for a national lockdown. A viable vaccine may offset that but I’m not seeing a booming economy under Biden at least not for the first and second quarters.

I’m curious to see if the media reports the facts about Biden’s “successes,” and not spin him to be our savior, if he fails. I can see the media protecting Biden, even if his plans aren’t in the best interest of our country.

It's not the method of deciding the election that will adversely affect the dollar, only who ultimately wins...with Democrats always being worse for the economy as a whole, even if they do alright for the stock market (not always a good indicator of economic health). If it goes to the SC, it will be no different from Bush v Gore, and if other countries find that laughable, you can chalk that up to their ignorance of the US republic. The global economy doesn't care what foreigners think about our politics, it only cares about how strong and stable our economy is, as a global currency.

Under Biden, we could expect to return to the anemic economic growth of Obama, at best. He will reinstate many job and growth killing regulations and taxes, and ultimately the working middle class will pay the most for it.

What about the BRICS (Brazil, Russia,India,China,South Africa) group? They already have near half the world’s population & production. If I’m not mistaken they are getting closer to half the international reserve. Do you think they might take advantage of American infighting and weaker dollar to gain control over reserve?

Always keep gold in your portfolio, especially now. Sounds selfish but a weak American buck is going to work for me, large American stimulus package can't hurt. High ranking Dems should make out OK with insider info. Keep an eye on Biden, see what he does. Have feeling Trump sitting on gold. Who knows.....got to take a chance now and then, but the less risk the better.
