I know what this sounds like, but does one have to be either temporarily or permanently brain dead to enter that special realm?

The 'I' has a structure to it which includes it's precise nature or essence which can be likened to a dot in the center of a circle. When the body dies, just as in sleep paralysis and astral projection, this essence of consciousness is re-injected into the fabric of spacetime where it assumes a formless, timeless and glorious manifestation. Think wave-particle duality. The dual self-inclusion of reality, which I demonstrated earlier in my thread "Reality is the set of all things that exist", applies to the mind-body duality as well. The 'I' is a prerequisite of this spiritual being.

So brain dead qualifies I assume. Families should pull the plug for life support.patients since their loved one's consciousness has been reunited with space time. I'm still wondering why DNA would be responsible for simulating death,  any physical ailment or trauma that prevents the brain from functioning.
