Yes yes, Syne, I've already mentioned I used the wrong term with "websites". Some time ago now.

You're a tedious little thing, aren't you?

Yep, and SS is apparently still playing catchup...as if I ever said I had read Peterson. Rolleyes

Quit worrying your little head about me, Ben. You have no reason to fear me.

Never heard of Peterson. Did he spend some time in Pennsylvania?

If I was to walk through the book store and spot a book about 12 rules for life then I would probably wonder if Don't Die is one of them.

Now if the author was named Ben the Donkey then I might check it out. Otherwise I'd just Google it.

When he finally surrendered his teaching license in 2004 _ 40 years after that first little girl came forward _ it wasn't a principal or a state agency that ended his career. It was one persistent victim and her parents.

An Associated Press investigation found more than 2,500 cases over five years in which educators were punished for actions from bizarre to sadistic.

There are 3 million public school teachers nationwide, most devoted to their work. Yet the number of abusive educators _ nearly three for every school day _ speaks to a much larger problem in a system that is stacked against victims.

Most of the abuse never gets reported. Those cases reported often end with no action. Cases investigated sometimes can't be proven, and many abusers have several victims.
...
The findings draw obvious comparisons to sex abuse scandals in other institutions, among them the Roman Catholic Church. A review by America's Catholic bishops found that about 4,400 of 110,000 priests were accused of molesting minors from 1950 through 2002.

Clergy abuse is part of the national consciousness after a string of highly publicized cases. But until now, there's been little sense of the extent of educator abuse.

One report mandated by Congress estimated that as many as 4.5 million students, out of roughly 50 million in American schools, are subject to sexual misconduct by an employee of a school sometime between kindergarten and 12th grade.

Here's another story about the same figures: https://edsource.org/2014/schools-failin...says/57023
Which includes a link to the Congressional report they came from: https://www.gao.gov/assets/670/660375.pdf

Lazy and biased people, like Ben, need to quit using fallacies in lieu of reason. So much for your vaunted "analysis". Rolleyes

Not sure what falls under "sexual misconduct." Mentioning penis in biology class? A comforting hand on the shoulder? I'm pretty sure it isn't as bad as actual sexual molestation. And note the misleading demographic. All students from kindergarten to 12th grade in the entire United States compared to 7 parishes just in Pennsylvania? Yeah..Leave it to the local sociopath to cheer on the priest child molesters.

"Definitions of sexual misconduct may also vary by state and may include a variety of
behaviors. For example, sexual misconduct could include any verbal or physical activity
directed toward a child that is sexual in nature and designed to establish a romantic or
sexual relationship with the child
. Sexual misconduct may eventually lead to sexual abuse,
but may not be considered a criminal act in and of itself, although it may be considered a
violation of other laws, regulations, or professional codes of conduct."

No one is excusing the priests, sicko. While you do seem to be doing everything you can to excuse teachers. Just pointing out the gross disparity in coverage, and all the children who go without justice in public schools.

Sounds all very vague and conveniently subjective to me. A wink. A glance. An intonation of the voice. So many ways of interpreting something as a come on. And again, a come on to a teen ager is nothing compared to actual child molestation.

So "sexual in nature and designed to establish a romantic or sexual relationship" is vague...when pertaining to a child?! O_o
We're not talking about adults here, who have a much larger wealth of sexual experience with which to infer sexual intent. We're talking about children, who only realize something is wrong when it's fairly blatant.
You are a sicko. Sick
