In the picture, is it being permanently mounted / placed on the wall? Or just being held there temporarily as part of its function? Or was the location even arbitrary, purely for the sake of getting a clear shot of it?

The 12 outer ponts made me thank clock... an i figered the "round ball" in the center moved up an down an the other lines woud move wit it to indicate the time some how... but the video shows its actualy 6:00... an wit half the lines conected to each hand its much less complicated than it first apears.!!!
