Easier to Prove an Evil God?

Quote:Maybe you think prayers ARE working in some nasty way. Maybe people are praying for more guns, more death, more NRA stooges in government being bought by their bribes. Maybe the Las Vegas massacre was the result of prayers to have more shootings in America and more deaths on the news. That might explain things, assuming a nasty, vindictive, murderous god was responding.

If there was only one god and it was, as the above passage from an internet article assumes, evil to the bone then would it really matter how many people prayed to end gun violence? Is a malevolent god going to listen to the prayers of millions of people who don't want evil or to the one who does? Could I use this argument to validate God's existence even if only the one person got their prayer answered? Appears as if the praying public doesn't choose to believe their deity is downright evil. Yet when an evil prayer is followed by an equally evil event then who's to say that the praying person wasn't speaking to god? Let's face it, even good prayers have an evil undertone, as in if there was no evil would I need to pray for something good to happen? It's like the believing public are always anticipating evil regardless.

The only thing I can figure is that evil in the world proves Satan exists to believers and since this particular character resides in a book of God's words then it proves God is real. Ironic that evil may be required to validate the deity. Very bizarre indeed IMHO.

It's actually easier to just prove humans can be evil.

Your video is blocked by BBC for viewing in Canada due to copyright. Too bad, wouldn't mind having a look.

I wonder what you would pray for if God went on trial? We supposedly tried a son of God and found him guilty. Wink

It’s a good flick.  If you get the chance you should watch it.

Ah, something that moderates do quite frequently, wouldn’t you say? Morality; should it be timeless, Syne?

No, moderates weigh things in their rightful context, instead of misconstruing them through an anachronistic modern day lens.

When the world is ubiquitously barbaric, survival requires barbarism. This doesn't change the principles of things like justified self-defense. So there's a difference between moral principle and a moral legalism.

Maybe you need to refresh your memory on the definition of moderate.
