Billions of lightning strikes played a vital role in life's origins on Earth

Quote:We have countless examples of life from life, and zero examples of life from non-life.

Whenever we eat something, we turn something non-living into living tissues and blood and bones. Life so regularly relies upon nonliving matter and atoms and molecules that we don't even notice it. Did you know water is non-living and yet composes 70% of our bodies? The distinction between living and non-living is a human one and carries no weight in nature. What was living there becomes non-living, and what was non-living there becomes living every day. If not seeing this is the only thing motivating you to concoct absurd theories of panspermia, then I suggest you meditate on this oneness of life and being. You'll see the truth of it soon enough.

Thanks for admitting you don't understand even the most basic science on life. Converting energy to do the work of replenishing living tissue isn't even in the ballpark of the non-living becoming a living organism. Cells take in energy, as fuel, to divide into more cells. They do not turn the fuel itself into new cells. The critical part is giving of their own, already living, essence. Water in a cup doesn't make the cup water, no more than water in a living organism makes that organism non-living. Nor does the water in a cup become a cup, or the water in an organism become a living organism. That's a very basic category mistake (look it up). And no, nature does not share your confusion. Fuel in a car does not become a car, moron. The sheet metal on a car doesn't, itself, comprise a car. Like life, a car is defined functionally.

I don't believe in pansmermia, I was just giving you an example in the wheelhouse of all your alien nonsense.

But thanks for so readily admitting to being scientifically illiterate. As usual, you seem so proud of your ignorance.

Your choice. Stick with your oh so scientific "pansmermia" explanation of life then. But don't mention it among friends at the coffee shop. Unless making a fool of yourself is an OFFline pasttime too.

So not only are you scientifically illiterate (thinking water is alive 9_9), you're also just plain illiterate too, as I just said "I don't believe in pansmermia". You either cannot read simple English, or you're an intellectually dishonest troll and moron who thinks anyone, except you, is fooled by that dumb shit. Seems it always comes down to your illiteracy.

LOL I don't think you know what you believe on this issue. First you're a theist, then you deny it, and then you're a panmermiast, and then you deny that. Why don't you stick to topics to which you can provide some sort of honest and intelligible content? This is a discussion board afterall.

Never denied being a theist, nor ever claimed to believe in panspermia. Since you've firmly established you can't read simple English:

That literally means "if you believe". It say zero about any belief of mine. If I could draw it in crayon for you, I would. You've proven, over and over, that you don't have the intellectual honesty to have any good faith discussion. That, or much beyond a sixth grade level just goes careening right over your head. Hey, maybe that was a UFO!

Go back to sitting in the corner with your dunce cap.
