If you actually watch the video, the astronauts are a bit distracted, playing with the floating mic, while Trump is saying that.

The video quality on Artemis II is noticeably worse than it was on Artemis I. NASA says that this is because there are humans on this Orion and life-support data takes up a lot more of the limited communications bandwidth.

I assume that means we'll have higher quality raw, captured footage once they return.

Even before they return. They are downloading still photographs now.

CNN: "Why do you want to be here?... Why do you love being a part of history?

Kid: "We're going back to the fucking moon, that's why!" Big Grin

The kid's parents are probably mortified.

But Jared replied saying

"Oh this kid is definitely getting a bag of NASA gear!"

I love it!

The kid's name is Hilt Boling, 11 years old, and NASA and Jared gifted him with a guided tour of Kennedy Space Center:

NASA says,

"That’s right, Hilt — we went to the freaking Moon!

We were honored to welcome Hilt Boling and his family for a special tour of Kennedy Space Center following the successful Artemis II launch.

Hilt’s boundless enthusiasm reminds us why we go. Here’s to the next generation of explorers!"

People on X are saying that when he's 60 years old, people are still going to be asking him to "Say the line!"

I watched the first moon landing with my grandmother. She said she didn't think any generation would ever see more changes .. from horses to the moon. And then for 50 years .. nothing. Go Hilt, go Jared, go Elon .. there really are worlds to win (and thanks to Yazata for, well, being Yazata).

Artemis II is scheduled to splash down at 8:07 PM Eastern time tomorrow evening (5:07 Pacific, where I live... 1:07 AM Saturday UK time).

It will be splashing down off the coast of California where I live. I'd hoped to see it, but Grok the AI tells me that it will be unlikely to be visible because the splashdown point is 80 miles offshore and the capsule will be approaching splashdown from the west, over open ocean. Sad
