If you actually watch the video, the astronauts are a bit distracted, playing with the floating mic, while Trump is saying that.

The video quality on Artemis II is noticeably worse than it was on Artemis I. NASA says that this is because there are humans on this Orion and life-support data takes up a lot more of the limited communications bandwidth.

I assume that means we'll have higher quality raw, captured footage once they return.

They are downloading still photographs now.

Solar eclipse
This is the Moon blocking the Sun, as seen from Artemis II. The Sun's corona is very visible.

We just flew four humans to the Moon
While there are still people on Earth living in the prehistoric stone age

I watched the first moon landing with my grandmother. She said she didn't think any generation would ever see more changes .. from horses to the moon. And then for 50 years .. nothing. Go Hilt, go Jared, go Elon .. there really are worlds to win (and thanks to Yazata for, well, being Yazata).

Artemis II is scheduled to splash down at 8:07 PM Eastern time tomorrow evening (5:07 Pacific, where I live... 1:07 AM Saturday UK time).
It will be splashing down off the coast of California where I live. I'd hoped to see it, but Grok the AI tells me that it will be unlikely to be visible because the splashdown point is 80 miles offshore and the capsule will be approaching splashdown from the west, over open ocean.
