If you watched that press conference, you should know that's a complete lie. He never said "bleach" nor "drink". So it seems your memory of it has been twisted by fake news. People commonly conflate disinfectants and antiseptics, the latter of which has plenty of internal uses, but there are even a few internal disinfectants...all administered under a doctor's supervision.

Quote:Even if he was being sarcastic, as President of the US, that's pretty embarrassing, don't you think? In the middle of a pandemic, when millions have lost their jobs, and thousands have died, you're the leader of the free world...being sarcastic and cracking jokes about cures? What great leadership! (that's sarcasm)

I'm not sure why Trump supporters feel the need to rush to his defense, never conceding that he could be in the wrong at times.
You've been duped by leftist media lies. Go ahead. Go reread the transcript of that press conference (and I can find a link for you if you can't). You'll see how much of what you currently believe of it is actually the media narrative you've just been told enough time to believe.

Don't let your dislike of Trump make you easy to fool.

Syne is right about the fake news. He never said anything about drinking bleach. He wasn’t being sarcastic though. He was just wondering out loud. We all do it. He should have just admitted it.

The White House Spins Trump’s Disinfectant Remark

Leigha Wrote:The thing I wish he'd stop doing is talking about the pandemic as if he's a medical expert. He doesn't ''know'' everything, and it would help his campaign if he would just stop pretending like he does. No one would fault Trump for not having all the answers when it comes to Covid. I feel that he takes snippets of what he hears from the healthcare professionals, and then spins it in his own way. I just think that is reckless behavior.

I thought the same thing. A good leader can admit to making mistakes. I wish he’d just say, I don’t know, but we have a great team of experts, and we’re doing the best that we can. We’re open to suggestions.
