Scientists build machine to generate quantum superposition of possible futures

RU.... the only reason I posted the question was because I had read somewhere about a Super Position Property. I figured that if something has a property then whatever that is will manifest itself when the conditions allow. It’s about as guaranteed/predictable a future there is in this world..lol. Are not the states of matter a future under certain conditions? If anything this had made me think about why some future events are absolutely predictable and why would that be?

Still think I’m missing something.

Sooo, is this basically moving towards AI becoming ''self learning?''

I've had my doubts as to how that could ever be possible, but looks like we're moving there.

Self-acquisition of skills and executing tasks without precise instructions has been happening for some time with machine learning. But it's based purely on algorithms rather than an additional hodgepodge of goading and detracting personality traits/habits.

There are still shortcomings arising from lack of comprehensive embodied experiences, access to complete data, and computer biases stemming from morally unguided pattern recognition and strategy formation. But similar lack of perfection has been plaguing non-ideal humans for thousands of years, too, so it's not exactly like machine learning is shooting air-balls (it's at least hitting the rim and the backboard now).
