You're cracking me up. You're entitled to think it. Reminded me of a past event, entitlement to think and so forth.....

I knew this very bright gentle girl. She was Muslim and we used to talk a lot. She'd go on and on about Islam and her Imam like they were epitome of truth. I would listen but I didn't want to ask her the one question on my mind that would probably ruin a friendship. Anyways she started getting too ridiculous for me one day so I asked her point blank, 'If your Imam told you to cut the head off an infidel, in the name of Allah would you do it?" I thought it was fair, you know, put your money where your mouth is. I knew she wouldn't lie and she showed it by trying to sidestep the question. I persisted, kept asking. Many times I had to listen to how great her religion and Imam were. Eventually she had enough of my asking and said if it ever came to that, she would obey her Imam and chop heads. Why would she do it?

Someone once said they never had a drinking problem, it was the problem that needed attention. This girl doesn't have a religious problem, though her religion might.

It's an objective problem if you can't tell the difference between "some" and "all". Not a problem that affects me (hence personal), but ridiculous to claim otherwise.
And again, you're cherry-picking a religion that explicitly calls for violence as a broad generality of all the religions that don't.
It's intellectually dishonest, but you seem fine with that...so again, only a personal problem.

Here’s one of my (what ifs)...

It’s around the same time that they were conquered by the Incas. The llamas were facing the Andes Mountains where the Incas lived. The Incas sacrificed lots of llamas and preformed child sacrifices during or after important events.

There are few accounts made by Cristóbal de Molina stating that there were large scale sacrifices during the death of an emperor and after military victories. He even mentioned them cutting out the hearts of children and he even made reference to a ritual procession. Brian S. Bauer said that archaeological evidence for such a large scale sacrifice is lacking but he did say that there’s other evidence that matches the priest’s accounts.

What if this is it? What if it was the Incas reciprocating their gods for their victory?

Quote:An analysis of the footprints may also enable the archaeologists to reconstruct the ritual procession: It appears that a group of children and llamas was led to the site from the north and the south edges of the bluff, meeting in the center of the site, where they would have been sacrificed and buried. The bodies of a few children and animals were simply left in the wet mud.

What if it was a society where infanticide* was an accepted behaviour by men, not contested by women, like a new leader of the Lion Pride killing the cubs of the defeated male. Go to war, kill the opponents (fathers/males), take their wives (for breeding) and in a spectacular fashion, execute the captured children. It's done in the animal kingdom on many fronts, why not humans and why not there at that moment in history?

* Is there another biological term for the behaviour I described ?
