Scientists reconstruct face of 13,600 yr-old "Mayan" woman found in sinkhole


Scientists have recreated the face of an early "Mayan" woman who met her untimely end nearly 14,000 years ago at the bottom of a sinkhole. The remains of Eve, or ‘the Woman of Naharon,’ were discovered hundreds of feet beneath the surface in an underwater cave in Mexico’s Sistema Naranjal in the early 2000s. Using forensic facial reconstruction techniques, researchers have now revealed what she may have looked like in life....
