If it were not for God, nothing would have priority over anything else. God provides the benchmark for meaning of the highest priority. Atheists delude themselves into thinking they can find meaning without metaphysics, but that is a false assumption. In order for the subjective reality to have equal priority as the objective, God must be included. And by necessity God is real as a result. We form fictional concepts yes, but sometimes reality is imposed on these concepts and they either become real or were at some point already real. Spiritual particles are like flickers of light, they can pop into existence from nothing and go back into nothing. I have confirmed not only the existence of God, but very likely the after-life. And humans are characteristically special due to solipsism being a real thing.
