Conservatives may be misreading Kanye West and his pro-Trump tweets
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/colum...story.html

EXCERPT: Here’s some advice for conservatives who are jumping to Kanye West’s defense. Don’t get caught up in the Kardashians’ mess. There’s a good chance the recent Twitter fest between West and Donald Trump has nothing to do with politics. Most likely, it’s about television ratings....

Kanye West's Trump support incites backlash, Condoleezza Rice weighs in (video)

EXCERPT: . . . “people should be able to express their views. Not all of us have to think politically the same way. [...] I said to people sometimes ‘I’ve been black all my life. You don’t have to tell me how to be black.' [...] So I think we need to recognize that in some ways the height of prejudice is to look at somebody and think you know what they think because of the color of their skin.”

Really? Kanye's willing to commit social/professional suicide to boost the ratings of the Kardashian show? It seems he had to be slightly more savvy than that to have amassed his fame, even if his latest sentiments aren't 100% on the level. I mean, would an apology restore his credibility among leftists? I doubt it. Seem like a rather unintelligent guy just found some facts. Dangerous things.

But does highlight the left's double standard. Ingraham tells LeBron to shut up and play and the left is apoplectic, but then the left tells Kanye to shut up and rap. Morons can't help but be hypocrites.

The sociopolitical association between Kanye and Trump is ultimately a moot point. Trump may be a fascist dictator in the eyes of a small minority of the black community but his conduct may be occasioned by acceptance. With time he has acquired some decent credibility among blacks. He may be seen as an puppet in power in general from both sides, outlining his innocent stupidity. Similar to Bush.
