Advance notice - I have appointed myself as resident expert on sociology. In matters relating to sociology I may (or may not) post responses like "So you think you are a sociologist now do you?". In the fullness of time I may (or may not) get round to reading the Wiki page on sociology so I can direct my sarcasm without demonstrating total ignorance of the subject.

Oooh Mock me gently Mock me slowly Take it easy Don't you know That I have never been mocked like this before Once upon a time…there was a sheep among wolves. And Confucius2 here tosses her "THE ART OF WAR", which I may (or may not) have read. Something on the language of wolves would have been more suitable. Oh sure, the growls, barks, whines, and whimpers were there, but it was the howling that was scary. The (togetherness), now that is some scary shit. Indicative of either hunting, announcing territorial, or mating intentions. Once upon a time…it was called rhetoric. Women receive no instruction at all, formal or informal. This is a gap that needs filling. The Gentle Art of Verbal Self Defense By Suzette Haden Elgin Rule No. 1 Know you’re under attack.
I'm not going to buy the book (The Gentle Art of Verval Self Defence) but I did find:-
- Course work re: The Art of verbal self defence. From http://elfwreck.homecircle.org/stuph/VSD_Basics.pdf Example 2 "Why do you ALWAYS do such AWFUL things?" Bait: You do "bad things." Expected: "WHAT awful things?" or "I'm not as bad as John!" Presuppositions: You don't care how your actions affect other people. You are selfish and mean. Counter: "Do you think I should quit my job and volunteer fifteen hours a week at the homeless shelter?" (Note: this has to be something you're willing to do if they insist.) Some sort of verbal weaseling going on there. What's wrong with "I try to keep it to a minimum."? (Apr 22, 2018 05:45 PM)stryder Wrote: Utopian Ideology is a Dystopians Nightmare. Dystopian?
