Salmiak

Some time ago I saw some mention of a Finnish "Sweet" Samiak

I with an inquisative mind decided that rather than rushing over to Finland to get some, that I would try and make my own alternative.  So I bought a rather large bag of Liquorice and a jar of Marmite.  I've decided to coin the mergence of the two Liquormite.  (Incidentally not everyone likes Marmite or Liquorice, so you can imagine what they would think of Liquormite.)

(While Marmite is a yeast extract derivative, it's extremely salty and it seemed that perhaps it would work as a decent substitute for Ammonia Chloride)

When the liquorice was faintly coated it was agreeable, however when I overkilled the Marmite it made me rethink eating it in such concentrations.  I'm not suggesting anyone repeat my experiment, however if you do it's best an experiment shared with friends or you'll have to eat the whole jar of Marmite on your own.
