Cream of asparagus soup |
Okay, it is time to check my garden for asparagus. I get busy with planting and forget to check my asparagus until it is too mature.
Ha, that tough part of the asparagus is like our muscles when we get old. Kind of like eating an old chicken that is tough. All of the growing things in nature are programmed to grow, reproduce and die. Getting tough and fibrous or stringing is part of the process increasing the survival the reproducing plant or animals temporarily. So all you cannibals out there, don't serve your guest old people or old anything unless it is ground up and well seasoned. [...] Memory too foggy to accurately remember the diagnosis you received -- an autoimmune related disease? Anyway, sounds like you're still up and kicking about, a good sign that hopefully it wasn't as bad as it initially sounded. - - - |
