Generation Z

As far as fretting over the next generation, I think TV mom June Cleaver said it best, " Ward, I'm worried about the Beaver". Two ways of looking at it, only one is worth the worry.

"Because all that helicopter parenting, virtual gaming and socializing in cyberspace creating a super-nerd or pseudo-autistic mentality, and micro-managing daycare for adults" might have over-sheltered them from the practical world... There's a tentative expectation that Gen-Z might be the first long-term socialist generation which doesn't grow out of youthful, utopian idealism or gradually slide the other direction like the Baby Boomers slash New Left devotees did. iGen in the US will just graze the Bernie Sanders revolution and its elderly icon, if the latter is treated as the very brief start of such a voting shift.

Or not. Prophets born and loyal to preceding population periods have always cast dire shadows or excessively hopeful predictions upon the next greenhorns. The most classic traits projected upon them ranging from laziness / degeneracy to the benevolent dictatorship of a super-educated class. But a quarter to a half century later, the latter are the ones touting themselves as the champions and saviors of civilization and the next bunch will be the ones either letting it slip down the drain or finally perfecting it.

i wonder what the terms of reference are for the current definitions of "socialist" & Capitalist" & "Communist".

Have the terms been borrowed from an age where everything is a bi-partisan ultimatum ?
has the term Capitalist become redundant & the new Generation realise this so have no reflex jump to asset privatisation of social assets ?
i do wonder.
