What If the Earth Suddenly Turned Flat?

EXCERPT: The Earth is a round orb, almost four thousand miles in radius, orbiting a star alongside some other orbs of varying sizes. We’ve taken pictures of it. But some folks don’t believe any evidence presented to them by a government agency. Many have come to the conclusion that the Earth is actually flat. What does flat mean? The models I’ve seen posit that the Earth is a disk with the North Pole in the center, bounded by Antarctica at the edges. We wanted to know what would happen if the Earth really did become flat. In this installment of Giz Asks, we asked weather and climate researchers, seismologists, astronomers and physicists to consider our planet suddenly turning to a pancake. The answer is, pretty universally, certain death....

Greenland earthquake and tsunami – hazards of melting ice?
http://blogs.dw.com/ice/?p=18005

EXCERPT: [...] I have been trying to find more information on what the experts think caused this weekend’s particular event. So far, there is no clarity. But the GCRC tweet with link to the Washington Post article seems to indicate they think it could be ice-related. Another theory is that the quake and tsunami were caused by a landslide. The news agency DPA says the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland are still trying to determine the cause of the tsunami.

“Initially, geologists believed it was triggered by an earthquake, but another theory blamed a large landslide from one of the mountains on the fjord system”. It seems the Danish Arctic Commando published images showing signs of an extensive landslide. “Tsunamis and large waves at times affect Greenland’s coasts, but, according to the Geological Survey, they are usually caused by landslides and the breaking off of ice from melting glaciers”, the agency writes.

DPA earlier noted that the Danish earthquake authority GEUS had recorded a 4.0 quake. One way or other, the weekend tsunami is unlikely to allay anxiety about the effects of rapidly melting substantial quantities of ice....

Quote:what would happen if the Earth really did become flat

for those lucky enough to not have the atmosphere sucked away into space and suffocate as their blood boiled, they would be hit by the ground at a speed of around 1609.34 KMPH which would be quite consideribly inconvinient to general living conditions for the human animal as we know it.

Flat-Climate-Communists or Flat-Commies, Climate-Commies...
"anti-sciencers" ...
there is another word which describes them "Cultists" people who hold cult like beliefs which oppose commonly accepted reason & science and promote & pursue ideologies which directly damage general society, physically, psychologically, intellectually & morally.
