The hijab is a head covering.  The niqab covers the face.

I've done this before, not learned from previous mistakes. I was referring to the veil, my bad. I don't pay a whole lot of attention to this stuff. I find clothing issues paleolithic, you know....clothes as a tool for whatever purpose.
