"I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I have to go."

Wow! That's cool, MR. I have a beautiful wooded area with a creak running through it. I would love to build a cool tree or hobbit house there, but my weirdo neighbor lives on the other side, and he has an outdoor bathtub. I don't want to see that.

LOL! I envy you. My apt overlooks a forested area with a stream. I never get tired of looking at it. If I were Bill Gates I'd build a whole resort of hobbit houses for people to rent. I'm sure it would be in great demand.

“I know a few things to be true. I do not know where I am going, where I have come from is disappearing, I am unwelcome and my beauty is not beauty here. My body is burning with the shame of not belonging, my body is longing. I am the sin of memory and the absence of memory. I watch the news and my mouth becomes a sink full of blood. The lines, the forms, the people at the desks, the calling cards, the immigration officers, the looks on the street, the cold settling deep into my bones, the English classes at night, the distance I am from home. But Alhamdulilah all of this is better than the scent of a woman completely on fire, or a truckload of men, who look like my father pulling out my teeth and nails, or fourteen men between my legs, or a gun, or a promise, or a lie, or his name, or his manhood in my mouth.”
― Warsan Shire, Teaching My Mother How to Give Birth

“If the day and the night are such that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry, more immortal—that is your success.”

"Sometimes people let the same problem make them miserable for years when they could just say, So what. That's one of my favorite things to say. So what.”

“On nights like this when the air is so clear, you end up saying things you ordinarily wouldn’t. Without even noticing what you’re doing, you open up your heart and just start talking to the person next to you—you talk as if you have no audience but the glittering stars, far overhead.”
― Banana Yoshimoto, Goodbye Tsugumi

In science, a healthy skepticism is a professional necessity, whereas in religion, having belief without evidence is regarded as a virtue..... Paul Davies
